I have a pair of AL drivers which I cannot find any information on. I have looked on a few sites which lists pdf's of vintage drivers, but 290-B never comes up. The shape looks like last of 288B. Does anyone have any information on these? Thanks in advance!
Isn't going to be a lot to know.
The 290 series are higher power rating with a phenolic diaphragm. HF to about 6kHz so need a tweeter.
Early 50's I think. Hope you have a pair will be hard to match, if not best to get a later model (C,D,E) and make sure you have the same frams in both. Or you could just watch eBay and hope a single turns up.

I created this thread because I didn't see the 290-B on that altecpro website. Is this an inferior model to the later 290 series?
